Biography
Dr. Barry Soltani is an expert in business financing,
acquisitions, commercial real estate financing, private investments
and international finance. In his practice at Talisman Capital
Group, he has assisted business owners with access to capital,
private trade finance and financial restructurings.
He is the founder of Talisman Capital Group, a Los Angeles based
firm specializing in business access to capital, financial
restructuring, international trade finance and deal making in the
areas of cross- border capital strategies, project finance, joint
ventures, acquisitions, and restructuring. Dr. Soltani has been an
active financier dealing with China for the past ten years. During
1999 he was an official member of Secretary of Commerce Daleys
trade mission to China.
Prior to founding Talisman Capital, Dr. Soltani was the CFO for
Transpacific Industries, a foreign direct investor specializing in
industrial development projects in China and Eastern Europe. Prior
to that he was VP of Mergers and Acquisitions at ESOT Group, a Los
Angeles based financial advisory firm with a focus on acquisitions,
divestitures and inter-generational asset transfers.
Dr. Soltani has lectured extensively and written in the areas of
applied game theory, corporate finance, international financial
deregulation, and contemporary economic problems. He holds a PhD and
MA in economics from the University of California, Riverside.
